Why Your Credit Card Transaction Was Not Successful And How To Correct That

Your credit card / debit card transaction has been declined by your card issuer or bank. Please see the following table for the possible causes and the remedial actions that you may need to take.

  1. You did not enter the following card details, or there were some inaccuracies in the following card details that you had entered, including your:
    1. security code (This is by far the most common cause for genuine shoppers. Your security code is not part of your credit card number. Please click here to find out where your security code is on your credit card.)
    2. card number,
    3. expiry date,
    4. billing address (which you had entered in Checkout: Step 1 of 2), or
    5. postal code / zip code (if applicable)
  1. Please click on the Back button in your browser to try again.
If you see this error message more than once:
  1. Please call the WorldPay support team in Singapore at (65) 63399616, in the UK at (44) 8707427002 or in the US at (1) 7035476250 to resolve the problem.
  2. Please contact your credit card issuer / bank to resolve the problem. Please ask for a representative who has access to their central card processing database and ask them for the reasons why they had declined your card transaction (Please note that most customer support staffs do not have access to such sensitive information and will therefore tell you that no request for payment has been made, even though that is untrue.).
  3. Please consider other modes of payment.
  1. Your card issuer has imposed a credit limit on your card for use on the Internet.
  1. Please split up your order into smaller amounts, e.g. place two orders of US$1500 instead of a single order of US$3000.
  2. Please contact your credit card issuer / bank to resolve the problem.   4. You have not activated your card for use on the Internet.
  5. You are using a corporate card that may be subject to some restrictions of use.
  6. You are using a card that has already expired.
